New Mercedes-Benz SL Roadster
Boasting a raft of innovative features and intelligent design concepts, the new 2012 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Roadster remains true to its tradition as a technological trendsetter.
With the SL350 weighing 140 kilos less due to its full aluminium bodyshell, the redeveloped SL-Class Roadster is more dynamic and fuel efficient than its predecessor. As well as achieving an absolute top value in torsional strength, the sophisticated corrosion prevention measures ensure that its pristine aspect is preserved for much longer.
Pioneering the world’s first adaptive windscreen wipe/wash system, MAGIC VISION CONTROL, the new SL-Class Roadster revolutionises the concept of windscreen washing whilst driving. Delivering water directly to the wiper blade via a duct system, it cleans the windscreen without the familiar splash of water that can disrupt visibility – especially at night or when the sun is low in the sky.
Offering three partly autonomous wash programmes which are integrated with the seasons and specific driving conditions, the wiper blades can also be optionally fully heated to prevent snow and ice from freezing on the blade – groundbreaking technology unique to Mercedes-Benz.
Coupled with the unique FrontBass system, also celebrating its world premier, the new SL-Class Roadster resonates clear, crisp sound by utilising the free spaces at the front of the footwell for its bass loudspeakers. The optionally available Harman Kardon® Logic 7® surround sound system or Bang & Olufsen integrated digital system add further definition to the acoustics – making for an all-round emotive experience even with the top down.

The 10 Best Vehicles To Survive The Zombie Apocalypse
Courtesy of Cool Material
We’d advise you to start saving for one of these rides now, but let’s be honest, by the time you could afford most on the list it would be too late (what with the zombie apocalypse here and all). If you find yourself searching for the ideal vehicle to keep your ass alive, however, these would be your 10 best options:
Mercedes-Benz Unimog
As Mercedes-Benz says, the Unimog offers “absolute off-road supremacy.” Since it’s designed to perform in disaster emergencies and the harshest conditions, we’d have to imagine the Unimog is as dependable as it is fun to say.
Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon LAPV 6.X
Without the 5-0 ready to issue you a hefty ticket and make you recite the alphabet while standing on one foot in your underwear (assumed), staying on the road would be pointless. With this Benz and its 18″ of ground clearance, you’ll make your own roadways. Plus, the surprising agility will allow you to keep your windshield clear of Walker guts.

Sportsmobile 4WD Vehicle
While traversing a grim and rocky landscape, you’re going to need some essentials. The Sportsmobile 4WD Vehicle allows you to load up on Coke and Slim Jims for your delicious survival while you find paths to get to whatever city is left. It’s the most badass van that doesn’t have B.A. Baracus chilling in the back.
  Local Motors Rally Fighter
This ride is built for the deserts of the Southwest United States, which is exactly how we picture the whole world looking in the not too distant future. With a Corvette engine, a Ford truck rear and an F150 steering wheel, the Local Motors Rally Fighter is like the work of a mad auto scientist. Just tell your friends they’ll need their own ride. Who are we kidding, your friends will be dead.
  Aston Martin DB9
Let’s get real for a sec, chances are the zombies are going to win. If you’re going out, you might as well go out in style. Even pick up some hot zombie ass along the way.
  Conquest Knight XV
For luxury and ruggedness, look no further than the Knight XV. Just don’t let your hatchet nick up the leather.
  WaterCar Python
Can zombies swim? This question has spurred more web fights than the usage of there, their and they’re. We’ll play it safe with the amphibious Python.
  Triumph Rocket III Roadster
This is what a doomsday bike looks like. If tight passages are going to pose issues, the Rocket III is what we want. From takeoff to braking, everything is top of the line. Carrying a lot of supplies will be an issue, but we’ll just swallow a bunch of June bugs while we ride.
   Gnarboard Trail Rider
Just because it’s the end of the world doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun, right? Sure you’ll probably be pegging it as long as possible and wishing you had a car, but a Gnarboard is still the only skateboard we’d trust when streets are less than ideal and our legs are weak from a lack of nutrients.
  Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
With a top speed of over 250 mph and a 0-60 time under three seconds, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is damn fast. If you need to get out of a hoard in a hurry, it’s your best bet. Where you’ll find the gas to keep refilling it, however, is up to you.

2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Bows With Eye on Performance
Courtesy of InsideLine

Just the Facts:

The 583-horsepower 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT, which replaces the SLS AMG, debuted on Tuesday with the bulk of upgrades focusing on performance, according to Daimler.
The SLS AMG GT will be available in coupe and roadster versions and will go on sale in the U.S. in mid-November.
A sixth model in the SLS AMG lineup is expected to follow in 2013 in the form of the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-CELL, said Daimler. "Mercedes-AMG is planning an exclusive series-production run of the purely electric-driven super sports car," it said.
Pricing for the SLS AMG GT in the U.S. market has not been announced. But when the car goes on sale in Germany in October, it will start at the U.S. equivalent of $254,548 for the GT coupe version and $264,907 for the GT roadster.
In the U.S., the 2012 SLS AMG coupe currently is priced from $190,475, while the SLS AMG roadster starts at $196,975.
The output of the AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine is boosted by 20 hp. The engine is linked to an AMG Speedshift DCT seven-speed sports transmission. "Thanks to newly developed gear change logic and optimized transmission control, it has been possible to shorten reaction time significantly during shifts," said Mercedes-Benz in a statement. The SLS AMG GT also gets an improved suspension, featuring stiffer and more aggressive spring/damper tuning, said the automaker.
The SLS AMG GT accelerates from zero to 60 mph in an estimated 3.6 seconds and has a maximum speed of 197 mph.
Exterior changes include darkened headlights and taillights, along with red-painted brake calipers. The cabin gets racecar touches, including red seatbelts, red-trimmed floor mats and red contrast stitching. An optional AMG designo Style package offers three different interior color combinations and a diamond quilt design on the seats and door panel inserts.
Other options include AMG carbon-fiber exterior mirrors, an interior carbon-fiber package, AMG carbon ceramic high-performance composite braking systems, AMG 10-spoke forged wheels and a Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG surround sound system.

The 2010 Sauvignon Blanc exhibits lime zest, lemon curd, pink and white grapefruit and hints of minerality on the nose. On the palate, flavors of grapefruit, guava, passion fruit and lychee are keenly balanced by fresh, crisp acidity. 2007 Peju Merlot, Napa Valley
Our 2007 Merlot has a bright nose filled with dark fruits, cranberries, brown sugar and a hint of eucalyptus. A complex and layered flavor profile of black cherry, cocoa, tobacco, blackberry and cranberry is supported by a terrific tannin structure and leads to a long, luscious, smooth finish. 2008 Peju Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
On the nose, a medley of summer berries, bright cherry and cocoa powder wraps brightly around hints of caramel and butterscotch. A beautiful balance of richness and luminosity with flavors of boysenberry, Bing cherry, nutmeg and toffee lead into a round and memorable finish. We look forward to seeing you on June 15!
