Mercedes A45 AMG Edition 1 Revealed

Mercedes-Benz has revealed the “Edition 1″ version of the A45 AMG making us love the mini AMG even more.  Like the recently unveiled “Edition 1″ CLA 180, the A 45 AMG “Edition 1″ stands apart both on a technical level and in terms of appearance. The A 45 AMG “Edition 1″ focuses on the car’s affinity to motorsport: the exterior paint finish in cirrus white corresponds with the AMG sports stripes in matte graphite grey on the bonnet, roof and sides. The red highlights on the radiator grille, exterior mirrors and rear aerofoil leave a lasting impression. These highlights combine to perfection with the red painted brake calipers and the AMG multispoke light-alloy wheels painted in matte black with special AMG hub caps in central-locking look. The 8 x 19 light-alloy wheels are fitted all-round with tires in size 235/35 R 19. Both the AMG Night package and the Aerodynamics package feature as standard for the “Edition 1″, providing the perfect finishing touch to the model’s motorsport-inspired character.

Black and red dominate the interior of the A 45 AMG “Edition 1″. Red contrasting stitching embellishes the AMG Performance seats in ARTICO man-made leather/DINAMICA microfiber, the top section of the dashboard in ARTICO man-made leather and the AMG Performance steering wheel in nappa leather/DINAMICA microfiber. Other visual highlights are the E-SELECT lever with embossed AMG emblem and the “Edition 1″ badge on the AMG DRIVE UNIT.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class Spied Once Again!

As evidenced by how little camouflage the next-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been caught wearing lately, it can't be too much longer until the car will get its official debut. In our newest shots of the yacht-sized luxo sedan, the cladding still covers up the headlights, front fascia and most of the rear end, but we finally have an almost undisguised look at the rest of the car's lines.

Considering previous spy shots had more camo that better (or fully) concealed the S-Class' body, some of the more obvious things we see in these images include the prominent grille, the CLS-Class-inspired body side creases, the pointed trunk opening and, most interestingly, a lack of fancy exhaust outlets. Unlike other S-Class prototypes we've seen, this car does not have integrated outlets, but it does have two pipes on the left side of the car. All current S-Class models in the US and Europe feature a dual exhaust layout on each side of the car, so while some of our questions about the car get answered, it would appear that more are just arising.

Cigarette 42 Huntress Inspired by the G63 AMG Tops 75 mph

On Thursday, February 14 at the Miami International Boat Show, the world will be introduced to the third collaboration between the Cigarette Racing Team and Mercedes-AMG in the form of the 42′ Huntress Inspired by the G 63 AMG. (Booth B-23 at the Miami Beach Convention Center)

Uninhibited performance is a phrase often claimed, but in reality rarely achieved. However in the case of two leaders in their respective domains: Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing Team have reached new heights with the 42′ Huntress inspired by the G 63 AMG. The Cigarette 42′ Huntress is designed with the same stringent construction that defines their renowned offshore performance boats – extremely durable superstructure, awe inspiring performance, and race-rigging – upon which its roots were built. The center console nature and overall capacity of the huntress allows this baked-in Cigarette performance to be expressed on glassy seas or in rough water environments that would make other performance boats cringe. All whilst providing space for enjoyment of a sizeable group of friends or family.

The AMG G-Class, often referred to as the G-Wagen (short for Geländewagen – “cross-country vehicle”), remains true to its heritage as being a vehicle that can be used primarily in tough off-road terrain: three electrically controlled 100-percent differential locks, ladder frame and rigid axle are characteristics that positions it in a class of its own.
